Samsung’s “Voices of Life”

Giving birth to a premature baby must be a stressful experience. Not only is it hard for parents to not be able to hold a newborn baby, but it’s be stressful on an infant to be outside the womb and alone in an incubator. This is why Samsung is working on a solution to make premature babies feel closer to home (the mother).

This connection with the mother is important for a baby’s mental health, but a premature birth may limit interaction. This is the issue Samsung plans to tackle with ‘Voices of Life’, a new app the Korean giant is currently working on.

In a nutshell, it is a speaker system that connects to an application. This app would allow the mother to record her heart beat, using the heart rate sensor on Samsung smartphones. In addition, one could record voice, which means you can talk to the baby, sing him songs or even read stories. Furthermore, one can use the app from anywhere. You could be home reading a bedtime story to your baby, who would be at the hospital.

No details on the release date have been unveiled yet, but we will let you know as soon as we hear anything.
